Website Audit : Scanning a Website for Issues that Violate WCAG Criteria

Websites are dynamic, with frequent content, design, and functionality updates, which can inadvertently introduce issues like broken links, performance lags, or WCAG guideline violations. Routine scans help identify and address these problems early, maintaining a seamless user experience and preventing potential legal or reputational risks. This article explains the steps to scan your website for audit using WebYes.
Note:
- Only the Account Owner and Admin(s) can initiate website scans.
- WebYes automatically scans websites upon addition, ensuring immediate evaluation. However, if your account reaches its credit limit, the website will still be successfully added, but the auto-scan will not be triggered until sufficient credits are available.
Steps to scan a website using WebYes
Step 1: Click the drop-down arrow on the left side of the top navigation bar in the WebYes Dashboard and select the website you want to scan.

Step 2: Click the scanner icon in the side menu.

Step 3: From the dialogue box, select Scan website.

Step 4: In the modal, click on the Scan now button to initiate the website scan.

Scanning Multiple Website
WebYes allows scanning multiple websites simultaneously. You can initiate the scans in multiple sites after adding them via the Organization setting. To know more about adding various sites, read the article: …………………………
- Follow the steps discussed above to initiate a scan on your first website.
- Initiate a scan on the second website using the same procedure.
- Now, you can see the scan’s progress from the top-right corner. The progress bar shows the number of pages scanned. Switch between sites to know the individual progress.
