How Do I Fix the Issues WebYes Finds?
Last updated on 07 November 2024
After scanning your website on WebYes, the detected issues will be listed on the dashboard along with your website’s scores. These issues include Accessibility, Performance, SEO, and Quality.
Sharing With The Team
When you are not familiar with making technical changes directly, it’s best to share the scan report with your team so they can review and address the issues one by one. Some fixes may require direct edits to your website’s HTML code, which is why involving your developers is essential. To resolve the issues, share the scan report with your web team so they can review and address each issue individually. There is also an option to export the issues in ‘.xls’ format so that you can share them with developers. Some fixes may require direct edits to your website’s HTML code, which is why involving your developers is essential.
You can also add developers to an organisation in your WebYes account, allowing them direct access to view and fix the issues. For detailed steps, refer to ‘Add or Remove a User from an Organisation in WebYes’. We recommend prioritising SEO and Performance issues first, as they have the most immediate impact on your website’s visibility and user experience.
Prioritisation in WebYes
There is also a priority setting in WebYes, which allows you to prioritise the issues that you need to resolve. For example, if you want to solve problems which has a higher priority, then you can set the priority from high to low.

Priority and export option
You also have an option to sort the issues based on your chosen WCAG version and conformance level (e.g., WCAG 2.0 A, WCAG 2.0 AA), allowing you to focus on the requirements that align with your organisation’s compliance goals.

Catagorise option
You can also solve issues for pages having the most issues or the pages you wish to resolve in the ‘Affected pages’ section, as shown below.

Generate solution
For accessibility issues, WebYes provides an additional “Generate Solution” option next to each listed issue. Thus, the solution will be AI-generated, allowing your team to resolve them more quickly and effectively.

Generated solution
Then you can copy the generated solution and the current code with the newly generated one. Also, make sure to validate the AI-generated code before replacing it.
Rescan After Fixing Issues
After fixing the issues, rescan to track improvements in your score. Diagnose, fix, and repeat this process until you reach a good audit score. This ensures your website is performing well, freeing you up to focus on other priorities like marketing and content strategy. Also, make sure to check for the manual checks for full accessibility.
