Why are some issues considered critical on some pages and are not considered critical on some other pages? +

That’s because of the impact of the issue. For example, you might find ‘Properly sized images’ marked as critical in some pages where it is impacting the page load significantly. On the other hand if it doesn’t slow down the loading of the page significantly, it will be treated as a non-critical issue for that particular page.

I am getting a ‘Scanning failed’ message. What should I do? +

Scanning can fail for multiple reasons. In most cases they are permanent and trying to scan the website again might not help.
Scanning fails temporarily when your website is taking too long to load. Such cases are usually temporary. And you can try scanning the same website after a few hours.

In case of the following, scanning will fail permanently:

  1. Geolocking. Some sites are blocked in some regions. So, if you are trying to scan a site which is blocked in your region, scanning will fail.
  2. Redirected sites. You will need to provide the actual URL of the live site for scanning. If you use URLs which are set to redirect to the actual sites, it will lead to failed scans.
