What Are Credits in WebYes and How Do They Work?

Last updated on 11 November 2024

Credits in WebYes indicate the number of pages you are allowed to scan. WebYes allocates a certain amount of credits per account based on the chosen plan.

Below are the number of credits available in an account based on the selected plan:

How does the credit system work in WebYes?

In WebYes, credits are used for scanning the pages on your website. It costs you two credits to audit one page of your website. This happens because the scanner scans the desktop and mobile versions of a webpage.

For example, a paid trial with 50 credits means you can scan up to 25 pages in one go.

In a paid plan, you also gain access to:

  • Customise the number of scans,
  • Choose which URLs you want to include or exclude in a scan.

How do I know how many credits I have left in my account?

The number of credits available in an account is always displayed at the top right corner of the dashboard. Please note that the accurate credit count appears only after the scan is complete, as the tool calculates the exact number of pages scanned at the end of the process.

You can also find the number of credits used from the billing section. To do this, go to the top right corner of the dashboard, click on your profile icon, and then click on the Organisation settings. From the Settings page, you can go to Billing and invoices.

On this page, you can see the number of credits left in your account and when the next set of credits will be allocated to your account.

Are the credits shared between different websites/organisations added to the WebYes account?

Yes, credits are global in a WebYes account. This means when you initiate a scan from your account, irrespective of the number of organisations and websites added, credits will be consumed from the same pool.

How are credits allocated for monthly and yearly plans?

Credits are renewed on a 30-day cycle for both monthly and yearly paid plans. For a free plan, credits do not renew. You must upgrade to a higher plan to receive additional credits.

How do I get new credits?

If you are on a monthly or annual subscription plan, your credits will renew automatically every month.

Can I buy more credits?

If you are on a free or trial plan, you can upgrade to a premium plan to earn more credit points. If you are on any of the paid plans and you exhaust your credits, you will have to wait till the next renewal cycle. WebYes does not currently offer top-up purchases for credits.

Do unused credits from a paid plan carry over to the next month?

No, credits do not get accumulated or carried over to the next month. Credits are reset every cycle. If you have any credits left over from a paid plan, such as 20 credits at the end of a month, they will not carry over to the next cycle. Instead, 700 credits will be added to your account.
